Liquity V2 testnet is live - this is how you can use it.
Before accessing the V2 testnet, you'll need to set up a few things:
- Add Sepolia network to your wallet
- Get Sepolia ETH to pay for gas costs
- Get wstETH, rETH and LQTY tokens
Adding Sepolia Network
Since Sepolia testnet isn't included in your wallet by default, you'll need to add it manually. We'll walk you through the process for Metamask and Rabby wallets.
Metamask
1. Click on the network
2. Start typing Sepolia with “Show test network” enabled
Rabby
1. Click on the network
2. Under ‘Custom network’ start typing Sepolia
Getting Sepolia ETH
You need at least 0.1 ETH to test.
Getting Sepolia ETH can be a bit of a process. You might have to visit several websites to acquire enough, some of them require you to log in.
A few free options are:
- https://faucets.chain.link/sepolia
We can also send you some if you ask in the #testnet channel on our Discord.
Alternatively, you can buy it here: https://www.sepoliaeth.com/
Now that you have the testnet set up and some Sepolia ETH in your wallet, you're ready to visit the Liquity V2 testnet.
Getting the tokens
To be able to test all features, you need to have the tokens V2 will be using, namely wstETH, rETH and LQTY. We have set up an internal faucet to make the process easy - just click your address at the bottom right of the screen.
Alternatively, paste this into your browser, exchanging WALLET with your actual address:
https://liquity2-sepolia.vercel.app/account?address=WALLET
For example: https://liquity2-sepolia.vercel.app/account?address=0x3e8734ec146c981e3ed1f6b582d447dde701d90c
This will take you to the faucet section, where you can get all 3 tokens by clicking on the corresponding ‘Tap’ button.
Testing
Finally, you are ready to start testing, just click on “Dashboard” and get going.
Here’s also the direct link: https://liquity2-sepolia.vercel.app/
What you can do is:
- Borrow - take out a loan against 3 collateral types
- Leverage - loop your (staked)ETH exposure with 1 click
- Earn - deposit BOLD into any of the 3 pools and earn yield
- Stake LQTY - prerequisite for voting (voting itself is not testable)
You can also watch this walkthrough and follow along.
A note on interest rate delegation; this is not fully functional yet, but you can still test it.
Just paste the following address in the cell that comes up after pressing “Delegated” - 0x81ec8Fc610CB1dFC12Ceb5Bc0A4FD119EE7128d9.
Your feedback is very valuable, please provide it on this form or hit us up on Discord.
Please keep in mind that the current UI is still a work in progress and may have bugs and issues.
Happy testing :)
